Replacement Windows in Hershey PA | Zen Installation Story

Over 110 years have passed since Milton S. Hershey started his chocolate empire in this charming area of Central PA. Now, many tourists and locals alike come to the area for family fun and entertainment.

Hershey Pennsylvania is not necessarily known for anything other than… well… CHOCOLATE of course but we’ve installed windows in a variety of homes in Chocolatetown.

Here are a couple stories of Zen Windows installations of replacement windows in Hershey PA (a.k.a. the sweetest place on earth!)

Replacement Window Project #1

Zen Windows Central PA installed 20 custom Zen Lotus triple pane windows in this neighborhood located about 5 minutes from the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The vast majority of the windows are double hung windows but there are a couple casement windows as well. This home was built in 1989 and the windows were inefficient and deteriorating–the homeowner now has very efficient energy star rated windows!

Replacement Window Project #2

Another one of our installations in Hershey was a beautiful brick rancher that a young couple was fixing up into a charmingly remodeled gem.

The homeowner expressed concern that she didn’t want her new windows to look bulky or boxy like she’d seen of other replacement windows. The customer chose a custom exterior color and we also had the grids (which are between the panes of glass) match the exterior color as well.

Replacement Window Project #3

Many of the homes in the Hershey PA area have a certain look/feel that seems to compliment the Hershey brand of construction: natural or gray fieldstone blocks, sturdy construction, decorative but not too ornate.

We’ve completed multiple installations on Areba Avenue and here is one such installation:

It’s important to note a few things about this installation:

• Custom capping: the virtually maintenance-free exterior aluminum capping had to be custom scribed and cut to fit this unique opening.
• Double pane window: the window itself is our Zen Nirvana window which is a great option for an opening like this. The window also has a foam-filled frame and sashes to increase efficiency.
• Sealed fully: the sealant is the kind that is intended to last for years without splitting or pulling away from the vinyl window.
